Industrial & Commercial Weighing Scales & Balances

Scene setting image for Industrial & Commercial Weighing Scales & Balances

Inscale's large selection of commercial and industrial weighing scales for use in warehouses, mechanical and precision engineering plants or on the factory floor.

Manufactured by Adam Equipment, Kern and A&D, our industrial scales are constructed from strong, durable materials capable of withstanding rigorous, heavy duty weighing. Many of these scales come complete with battery operation for providing power where electricity is unavailable.

All of our industrial scales and weighing equipment that use a lift mechanism in order to weigh, such as Adam's PTS pallet truck scale and the Adam series of crane scales, are marked with weight limits and are fully compliant with Safe Working Load (SWL) procedures; meaning pallets, containers and crates can be safely weighed, lifted or suspended without risk of breaking the machine.

Industrial Scales

Our robust bench scales, platform scales and floor scales can tackle even the most demanding industrial weighing task. These industrial weighing scales come complete with checkweighing and parts counting functions.

Heavy-duty crane scales and pallet scales are used to safely measure oversized, bulky or unwieldy loads in warehouses, factories or shipping departments.

Many Inscale industrial scales offer approvals and certifications, conforming to standards and regulations established by governmental agencies. In the UK, these approvals allow the use of scales in trade circumstances for selling goods by weight. Larger platforms such as Adam Equipment's PT industrial platform scale can by combined with the Adam GK-M trade approved checkweighing indicator for checkweighing, parts counting, accumulation and percentage weighing applications when selling by bulk.

Important information: Adjustments to SOLAS rules in July mean shippers must accurately state the weight of all containers transported over the seas before shipping. Please read our quick guide on the new SOLAS rules and requirements.

Commercial Scales

Approved commercial scales are used within many different environments from offices to warehouses. Our counting scales come with built-in checkweighing and counting applications suitable for checking the weight of tools, screws and small machinery parts in manufacturing, engineering and stock taking warehouses.

Adam Equipment's CCEU coin counting scales provide fast and accurate counting in both Euro and Pound Sterling currencies, perfect for travel companies and financial departments.

Products marked with a 'black M' symbol indicate that the product is trade approved for commercial use.

Please contact us if you need more information about the commercial and industrial scales we have on offer.

Industrial & Commercial Help

Q: Are your weighing scales damage resistant?

A: Our weighing scales and equipment go through procedures to ensure they can withstand extreme conditions and retain their precision whilst under regular use. However, it goes without saying that some models will provide better resistance than others. Digital weighing scales specifically designed for industrial and retail, such as floor scales, crane scales and compact balances will provide greater resistance to damage on the everyday over analytical or precision scales.

Q: Do you offer portable industrial scales suitable for smaller warehouse environments?

A: We offer a wide range of industrial scales that suit all types of industrial environment from large open shipping facilities and dockyards to factories with minimal space.

Pallet truck scales take up minimal space and can be easily manoeuvred around factory or warehouse floors when required.

Alternatively, AELP pallet beams are versatile, portable industrial scales that can be combined with various platform sizes to suit the surrounding environment. The pallet beams can be safely stored and offer a practical solution to weighing in small spaces.

Q: How do you calibrate an industrial scale?

A: In principle, the procedure for industrial scale calibration is more or less the same as other types of scales and balances, however the type of industrial scale used may cause this to differ slightly.

Scales with internal or auto calibration (typically higher precision bench scales and analytical balances) will provide an in-built calibration option in the form of a physical button or option within the scale's setup menu (this can sometimes be found in scale's factory settings menu).

Industrial scales with external calibration (usually compact scales, bench scales, larger platforms and floor scales) will require approved calibration weights that fall in line with the readability capabilities of the scale. For example, the PT platform scale will require block test weights for effective calibration, whereas bench scales with greater readabilities are likely to use M1 Class weights.
