Important Safety Notice – Fuse Replacement Programme for Inscale IWS Scales

We have identified that a batch of fuses fitted in Inscale IWS IP68 Waterproof Bench Scales may not conform to British Standards. These fuses appear to have been manufactured to a specification used in other countries, and although they function at the expected 3A rating based on our internal testing, they may not exhibit the same safety characteristics required by UK regulations.

There is no evidence of immediate danger associated with these fuses, and our internal testing shows they operate as intended. However, we are committed to maintaining the highest product safety standards and full compliance with UK law.

We are therefore offering free-of-charge:

  • A replacement fuse, with simple instructions for quick self-installation, or
  • A fully fitted replacement by our service team
What to do

If you own an Inscale IWS IP68 Waterproof Bench Scale, please contact our service team using the details below. You can choose whether to receive a replacement fuse by post or to have it fitted by us.

We are currently awaiting third-party test laboratory results and will update this page if any new safety concerns are identified.
