What is the Adam AELP Pallet Weigh Beam Scale?
The AELP is a set of lightweight, portable weigh beams from British weighing scales manufacturer Adam Equipment. Weigh beams are perfect for weighing palletised goods as well as abnormally-sized goods. The beams can be placed the desired distance apart, and the load to be weighed is then placed on top. Unlike many weigh beam scales on the market, Adam’s AELP weigh beams are available with capacities up to 3 tonnes.
AELP weigh beams are perfect for businesses with limited space: when not in use, the beams – which have handles and wheels – can be easily be transported and stored away.
Why do I need to weigh pallets?
Palletised goods typically needs to be weighed to ensure that delivery vehicles are not overloaded. Pallets may also need to be weighed if the weight of the goods determines its price in a transaction.
The AELP weigh beams make fantastic pallet scales. They simply need to be placed the correct distance apart on the ground. A pallet truck then be used to place a pallet on the beams.
What are the benefits of using the Adam AELP Pallet Weigh Beam Scale?
Weigh beams can be used as an alternative to platform scales, and are often more cost effective. Additionally, weigh beams are more easily moved, and stored away if not in use.
The AELP weigh beams come with the Adam GK indicator (alternatively you can order the AELP with a stainless steel indicator - choose the AE403 listings from the options available above). The indicator features RS-232 interface for connection to a PC or printer.
The indicator's checkweighing functions and lights allow you to rapidly check a product's weight and ensure this remains consistent with the pre-set weight limit.
The two separate weighing beams are linked via a strong shielded protected cable. Unlike other pallet beams the AELP boast enclosed channels with high quality load cells, built to withstands the rigours of constant warehouse use and providing accurate, repeatable measurements.
AELP pallet beams are highly versatile. As well as weighing pallets, they can also be used in agriculture and farming - combined with large cages or cattle crushes, they can safely and securely weigh livestock, cattle or large wild animals.
