Kern's MPE personal BMI scale includes intelligent body mass index (BMI) capabilities used to monitor an individual's weight in relation to their height.

The scale indicator is fitted with a second display which makes it easy for both the patient and the doctor or nursing staff to read the weight. HM models have an integral height rod fitted to the scale column which has a sturdy plastic head and can measure from 88 to 205mm. The ergonomically optimised shape and robust design of the MPE is ideal for daily use in a professional care and medical environments.

This personal body weight scale has EC Type approval class III and approval for medical use in hospitals, doctors and care homes that require medical diagnostics.

Rubber non-slip adjustable feet, along with the built on level indicator ensures the scale is level and secure whilst being used, integrated wheels have been fitted to the back of the scale, allowing the user to simply tilt and roll to move the scale to another location without needing to lift the unit. A large weighing plate with anti-wear and anti-slip plastic surface provide added comfort for patients when standing on the scale platform.

When a patient is not standing still or is otherwise unable to, then the hold function will take a mean average weight and freeze it for convenience. The built-in mother and child function, enables the weight of the mother (or father) to be deducted; the parent is weighed first and then both together, from here, the scale will automatically remove the parent's weight, leaving the infant's weight remaining.
