Analytical Balances for Higher Education

What is an Analytical Balance?

Analytical balances are precise scientific weighing instruments used to measure mass up to 0.0001g readability. Due to the sensitivity of the balance, most analytical balances include a protective draft shield and tend to be used with an anti vibration table to minimise erroneous results caused by vibration and other outside disturbance. Some modern analytical scales have built-in calibration masses and temperature monitoring to maintain accuracy.

How Analytical balances can be used for Science Education

Analytical balances are ideal for science lesson preparation, as they are able to measure small compounds to the high levels of precision needed for classroom experiments; some can be used for pipette calibration, small animal weighing and density determination.

Analytical balances are often known for their accuracy and expense, but at Inscale you will find an analytical balance to suit all budgets.

Analytical Balances Help

Q: Is an analytical balance suitable for my needs?

A: It is important to outline your requirements when investing in an analytical balance and if you are unsure it might be worth looking into less expensive alternatives such as precision balances and other types of digital weighing scale. If precision is your priority then an analytical balance may prove the best choice.

Q: When should I use an analytical balance?

A: Analytical balances should be used when you require accurate results to the highest degree of precision. They are recommended for higher education institutions such as universities and laboratory environments for advanced or complex weighing procedures such as chemical or medicine weighing.
