When a load is attached to your device, the force exuded on the load cell is measured and displayed on the digital readout. Q: How accurate are crane scales?
A: The accuracy of a crane scale is dependent on the make and model, although most devices will remain accurate despite having a high capacity. Some crane scales, such as the Kern HCB Hanging Scale, posses a readability of 0.01kg even with a maximum capacity of 20kg. Generally, a crane scale will be accurate from around 0.1 to 0.2 percent of the maximum capacity.
